When Blazing Horse arrived, and what its full name says
The lobby's release field gives Wednesday 14 January 2026, which makes Blazing Horse the first new slot of 2026 on our timeline. It followed Buffalo Mania: Thunder Springs and its growing ways count by five weeks, the longest pause between two releases we have on file.
The lobby lists it under a longer name: Blazing Horse – Huǒ Mǎ Zhāo Fú. The second half is Mandarin in pinyin. Huǒ mǎ means fire horse and zhāo fú is a wish for good fortune, so the subtitle is a blessing, not a feature. The lunar calendar's Year of the Horse began a few weeks after the launch, in February 2026, and by that calendar's element cycle it is a fire-horse year; the link between the two is our own reading, not something Springbok says.
On 9 October 2026 it was number 18 of 18 in the New Games tab, the oldest title still listed there, and it also appeared in the Popular tab.
Hold and Spin with four jackpot tiers
Hold and Spin is a family of features rather than one rulebook. Typically, the special symbols that start the round lock in place, the open positions re-spin a few times, and each new special symbol locks too and resets the count; jackpot symbols pay a named tier instead of a cash value. Blazing Horse's tile confirms the format and the tier names, and stops there: no trigger, no re-spin count, no word on which symbols carry which tier.
No value is published for any of the four tiers, and this site does not print jackpot sums in rand. The lobby's Progressives tab, checked on 9 October 2026, left Blazing Horse out, so there is no sign the tiers are shared pots that grow.
Four things to check on the help screen
- Which symbols start the Hold and Spin round, and how many must land together.
- How many re-spins the round gives, and whether each new symbol resets them.
- Which symbols award the Mini, Minor, Major and Grand tiers, and whether their values scale with your stake.
- Whether the oversized symbols and expanding wilds belong to the base game, the free games or both.
The lobby's log-in form has a Practice Mode button next to Log In, so the help screen can be read without a deposit.
Free games, oversized symbols and expanding wilds
Blazing Horse is the only release on our timeline whose tile mentions oversized symbols. In games that use them, an oversized symbol fills a block of positions across neighbouring reels and counts in every position it covers, so one landing can feed several lines at once.
An expanding wild works one reel at a time: it stretches to cover its whole reel and stands in for regular symbols on every row. On a 5 reels x 3 rows layout, each of the 20 paylines passes through every reel once, so a reel that turns fully wild sits on all of them.
The free-games round is named and nothing more: no trigger, no number of spins, no multiplier.
Blazing Horse volatility and the top award
Volatility. The tile's rating is high, a label carried by just three slots out of 18 on our timeline; the others are FAT CA$H and Prosperity Pots: Lucky Coins. Expect wins spaced further apart and more uneven in size, with long stretches in which a stake only shrinks.
Top award. Springbok's review quotes 50,000x the bet per line. Spread the stake evenly across all 20 paylines and the same ceiling reads 2,500x the total bet, a conversion we worked out ourselves; Springbok does not state it. The ceiling and the jackpot tiers are separate items in our register, so we cannot say whether a Grand jackpot falls inside that figure or on top of it.
A top award marks the largest single result the game's maths allows. It is not what a typical feature pays, it does not become due after a quiet run, and a high volatility label does not bring it closer.
What Springbok has not published about Blazing Horse
- RTP and hit rate. Neither is on the tile or in our register, although an RTP is on file for 9 other slots on our timeline.
- Jackpot values and triggers. Tier names only.
- Free-games rules. Trigger, spin count and multipliers are all missing.
- Stake limits. Neither the smallest nor the largest bet is recorded, so whether the top stake exceeds the bonus cap is unknown.
- Artwork. We hold no official image for this release, so the title card above is typeset.
Blazing Horse and the welcome package
Slots of every kind count toward bonus wagering in Springbok's terms, so the welcome package of up to R11,500 can be played on Blazing Horse. Redeem SPRINGBOK100 in the cashier's Redeem Coupon section first, deposit second, then clear 30x wagering on the deposit plus bonus with no single bet above R100; Springbok voids winnings from larger bets while a bonus runs.
Weigh that against the volatility. A game that can pay little for long spells does not shorten the playthrough to match, and plain cash play skips both the cap and the wagering. Either way, fix the amount first; our page on keeping play affordable lists the free help lines.
Between Buffalo Mania and Prosperity Pots on the timeline
Blazing Horse went live on a Wednesday, the launch day of every dated release on our timeline. Two weeks later came Prosperity Pots: Lucky Coins, another Hold & Spin game with jackpot tiers.
