Help, any hour
If gambling is costing more money or time than you meant to give it, talk to someone today. The National Responsible Gambling Programme's counselling line is free and confidential and answers around the clock; the same service takes WhatsApp messages. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call SADAG's suicide crisis helpline.

The programme's counselling is free. Its treatment page describes eight outpatient sessions after an initial assessment, with up to two more where a clinician motivates for them, and says family members can get support too. Winners know when to stop.
Why new releases deserve extra care
Springbok adds a new game roughly every two weeks. Each one arrives with fresh art, a feature you have not seen and a top award quoted in tens of thousands of times the bet. None of that changes the odds of the next spin, but novelty is persuasive: "just a few spins to see the bonus round" is how a short look becomes a long evening.
Some features add pressure of their own. Hold & Spin rounds fill the screen with coins and make a big result feel one symbol away. Buy-feature buttons spend dozens or hundreds of bets in a single tap. And a game you have played for five minutes gives you no sense of how long a dry spell can last.
Signs it is time to stop
- You keep playing a new release because its feature "should be close".
- You top up to win back what the last session lost.
- You spend longer in the lobby than you planned, or play to escape a bad day.
- You hide how much you play, or borrow to keep going.
- Money meant for rent, school fees, groceries or debt is ending up in the cashier.
- You feel restless or irritable when you try to cut down.
One of these is worth noticing. Several together are a reason to call the counselling line above, even if you are not sure it is "that bad".
A budget that survives release day
- Set the amount before you open the lobby. Pick a sum you can lose in full without missing it, and treat it as spent the moment you deposit it.
- Set a stop time too. A phone alarm works better than willpower.
- Try the feature in practice mode first. Springbok says logged-out visitors get a one-off fun-money balance, enough to see what a new game does without staking real money.
- Never top up mid-session. If the budget is gone, the session is over.
- Keep a simple record. Note each deposit and each withdrawal. Seeing the monthly total in writing is often the clearest signal of all.
- Skip the buy button. It turns a careful budget into a few large bets.
Limits Springbok says it can set
Springbok's responsible-gaming page says its support team can put a daily or monthly deposit limit on your account, or close the account for a period you choose, with a minimum of one month. These are arranged by contacting Springbok rather than from a settings screen, so ask through live chat or by email at help@springbokcasino.co.za and keep the reply for your records. Springbok also points players to the national counselling programme listed above.
A limit works best when it is set on a calm day. If you notice yourself raising it, treat that as one of the warning signs.
Adults only
Gambling is for people aged 18 and over, and this site is written for adults. If you share a phone or computer, log out of Springbok after each session and do not let the browser save your password, so nobody younger can open the account.
