A bigger grid than most new releases

Seahorse Surge gives itself more room than most of Springbok's recent slots. Where the typical release on our timeline uses 5 reels x 3 rows, this one runs 6 reels x 4 rows, with 30 paylines crossing it. Of the releases on our timeline with a published grid, only Olympus Thunderhold's pays-anywhere layout holds more positions.

The headline of Springbok's preview calls it an underwater adventure, and the official card art agrees: a wide-eyed yellow seahorse against a blue sea.

How the cascading reels play out

Cascading reels drive the game. After a winning spin is paid, the symbols that formed the win are taken off the grid, the rest drop down and fresh symbols fill the empty positions from above. If the new arrangement forms another win along any of the 30 paylines, that pays too and the clearing repeats, so one paid spin can run through several payouts before it settles.

A cascade costs nothing extra, because it all belongs to the spin you already paid for. Nor is a long cascade a sign that the next spin will be generous: each spin starts fresh. The tile does not say whether anything builds up during a cascade, such as a climbing multiplier; the only multipliers Springbok mentions for this game are the wild ones in the free games.

Free games: stacked wilds and wild multipliers

The tile describes the bonus round in a single phrase: Free games with stacked wilds and wild multipliers x1 to x5. Stacked wilds arrive in columns, covering several positions on a reel at once, and on a reel this tall a full stack can touch a large share of the lines in one go.

The multiplier range is the useful part of that phrase. A wild carrying a multiplier scales up any win it helps form, but the tile does not say what happens when two multiplied wilds join the same win, whether their values are added or multiplied together. Olympus Thunderhold's tile, by contrast, says its multipliers are added together; for Seahorse Surge, the help screen is where that answer lives.

What triggers the free games, and how many are awarded, is not on file from the tile or the review.

SpinLogic or RTG? One game, two labels

Springbok's press releases call Seahorse Surge a SpinLogic game; the lobby labels it RTG. Springbok has not explained how the two names relate, and we offer no theory. The release card shows the lobby's label, since that is what the live game carries; the press-release name is recorded here so you can match the two elsewhere.

RTP, volatility and the top award per line

Springbok's review gives an RTP of 95% and a top award of 50,000x the bet per line. Neither appears on the lobby tile, so both wear a "Springbok says" tag on the release card. The medium volatility rating is the tile's own.

The top award is a multiple of the bet on one line, and every spin is spread across 30 paylines. Restated against the full stake with every line in play, the ceiling is about 1,667x. RTP is an average over a vast number of spins, and a short session can sit far from it either way. No hit rate or bet range is published, so the release card leaves both out.

Seahorse Surge and Springbok's free-spins coupons

Springbok has used Seahorse Surge for its monthly free-spins feature, in which one coupon gives a set number of spins on a single named game.
