A new dinosaur in a lobby that already had some
The name sets the scene, a tyrannosaur and a lava field, and the headline of Springbok's review talks of surviving the volcano. When we read the lobby on 9 October 2026, the game was number 16 of 18 in the New Games tab.
It is not the lobby's first T-Rex: the Slots tab also lists T-Rex, T-Rex II and T-Rex Wild Attack, and Megasaur, whose name points the same way, sits in the Progressives tab. Our register holds no specs for those older games, and Springbok does not present Lava Blitz as a sequel, so we compare it only with releases we have documented.
What 178 connecting ways means
Most ways slots let any position on one reel link with any position on the next. The tile does not define "connecting" ways, but the usual meaning is stricter: each symbol in a win has to touch the one before it, on the same row or a row directly above or below.
That reading fits the figure exactly. On five reels of four rows, the routes in which every step stays on its row or moves one row up or down number precisely 178. Springbok gives only the reel count, so treat the four rows as our arithmetic, not a published spec. Let every position connect on that shape and the count becomes 1,024, the figure on Bass Baggin' Bounty's tile.
Neither system is more generous in itself: each paytable is balanced for its own route count. Paylines and ways compared covers the wider difference. Three ways counts from our timeline:

The T-Rex Moving Wild
The tile's feature line reads: T-Rex Moving Wild, T-Rex Chase and Clash features. A moving wild, as the name is generally used, does not stay where it lands: it shifts to a new position on the next spin or spins, which gives it more than one chance to complete a win.
Which way this one moves, for how long and what sets it off are not on the tile or in our register. The help screen has the rule, and practice spins show it working. Springbok says logged-out players get a one-off R1,000 practice (fun-money) balance that does not renew Springbok says · 9 October 2026.
Chase, Clash and the jackpots
The other two features are names and nothing more. "T-Rex Chase" and "Clash" suggest set-piece events built around the dinosaur, but the tile gives no trigger, payout or link to the jackpots, and we will not invent one.
The jackpots get a line of their own on the tile, simply "Jackpots". No tiers or values are on file, and the game is not among the 10 titles in the lobby's Progressives tab, so there is no sign of a pooled prize that grows across players.
medium volatility and a base-bet top award
The lobby's medium rating puts T-Rex Lava Blitz with most of the timeline: 13 of the 18 slots carry the same label. Expect small, fairly regular wins mixed with quieter stretches; the label describes many spins, not the next half hour.
Springbok's review gives a top award of 1,250x the base bet. Measured against the stake you set for an ordinary spin, it needs no per-line conversion. Winnie the Piggie Las Vegas is quoted at the same multiple, there against the total bet. It remains the rarest result the game can produce, not a target.
What Springbok has not published
- RTP. Springbok's reviews give one for 9 slots on our timeline; this is not one of them.
- Rows. The tile gives 5 reels only; the row count above is our inference.
- Feature and jackpot rules. Triggers and payouts for the Moving Wild, Chase and Clash; jackpot tiers and values.
- Bet range. Not recorded.
The lobby labels the game RTG, and our register holds no other studio credit for it.
T-Rex Lava Blitz and the welcome coupon
As a slot, T-Rex Lava Blitz counts toward wagering on Springbok's welcome package of up to R11,500. Put SPRINGBOK100 into Redeem Coupon before the deposit goes through; a coupon cannot be added to money already deposited. Wagering is 30x the deposit plus bonus, at no more than R100 a bet until it is done.
A medium rating spreads results more evenly than a high one, but it does not make clearing a bonus likely. Settle on a loss limit first, and see where to find help if play stops feeling like play if that limit starts to slip.
Between Prosperity Pots and Devil's Jackpot
T-Rex Lava Blitz came out on a Wednesday, two weeks after Prosperity Pots: Lucky Coins and its Jackpot Pick and two weeks before Devil's Jackpot, a 3×3 classic with nudging wilds.
